Hubby's Birthday

Yesterday my husband finally caught up to me in age after a long three months of having an older wife. He took this week off to study for the MPRE but unfortunately I got him sick. So on his birthday, he was going to be stuck home alone, studying while sick so I had to do my best to make his birthday a good one. Tuesday night I brought home a sampling of cake with candles and a card and then on his actual birthday I brought him some iced coffee before heading off to work and hid his favorite candy around the apartment. He'd already received most of his birthday gifts [because I have zero self control] and I gave them to him as soon as they arrived in the mail.

The night of his birthday we celebrated with his family at Fat's and it. was. so. good. Brett loves Chinese. And I love drinkies. And his family is always fun to be around. Cheers, hubby.

His "main" birthday gift arrived on his actual birthday but was delivered to the apartment office and I'm never home in time to get packages. Luckily, he was home and picked it up today and IT LOOKS SO GOOD. I'm not sure who is more in love with it. It's been an ongoing joke for a few years that I would commission a portrait of Milo and I finally pulled it off! Now we just have to decide where to hang it...

Brett might be lightweight disappointed that Milo isn't wearing a crown in the painting...
