Goals for 2018 and a 2017 Recap

After the past two months of constant nose blowing and DayQuil, my number one goal for 2018 has to be to stay healthy and keep my immune system strong. My job and my barn have both questioned my health after getting the flu less than a month of a ridiculous cold. How? I don’t know. No drinkies for all January to start, back on my keto diet and early bedtimes all sound like a good effort to begin!

Other goals include actually blogging more! I’m going to try to post on Instagram more than once a month as well as get more videos and pictures of my riding progress, though this might count as a goal I have for my husband. Together we’re focusing on paying down some of our debt and saving for our first house next year! By the end of 2018 I would also like to get up to jumping 3’ courses, but I don’t know if that’s a realistic goal yet.

2017 was an amazing year. I don’t think I had any specific goals for the year, but I did have some lifelong goals that were achieved. I graduated from college after deciding to go back in 2013. After graduating I got my dream job and currently work full time as an Adult. My husband even secured his career-track job for after he graduates! I got back into riding after a seven-year hiatus and have already made some substantial improvements, have met the nicest people and ridden some very nice horses. Life has been good to me so far and I really can’t wait to see what the future has in store (which I know sounds annoyingly optimistic and cheesey but sometimes life just feels like an Imagine Dragon song, idk what to say!)
